the new oppression
i'm curious
how dropping calm response
to mad signs of probable doom
is feasible,
even as we embrace some kind of truce
with the inevitable.
aren't we capable
of more sound than this?
our inaudible disgust
will become the shrieking historical record
others will peruse with shock and terror,
exclaiming their disbelief
at our silent meanderings through the most innovative oppression in the history of mankind.

"As human beings, our job in life is to help people realize how rare and valuable each one of us really is, that each of us has something that no one else has—or ever will have—something inside that is unique to all time. It's our job to encourage each other to discover that uniqueness and to provide ways of developing its expression."
