Artist Statement / Bio

Goddess2U is a group of dancers that perform and teach Middle Eastern, Moorish, and American Belly Dance. Goddess2U creates traditional and contemporary pieces that show the sophistication, beauty, and elegance of this artform. Goddess2U was founded by Tanya Saahira Kieselbach, who has been studying, performing, and teaching belly dance in Chico since 1994. She has travelled to Morocco, Tunisia, and Israel; and has published some of her research on Middle Eastern dance and archaeology in journals on anthropology and dance.
