Beat Box Doll has been together for a little over a year now. We are almost done with our first, new, full length, professionally produced album, which we haven't thought of a name for yet. But whatever.We also just added our fourth member, Avery, on bass. Previously Loren and Mongo would switch off on guitar and bass. Our influences include grunge, punk, indie, emo, metal, classic rock, motown, reggae, shoegaze, hip hop... well, you get the picture. We all grew up in Chico and never left. We're all about twenty and we met at Chico High. We grew up in the punk scene hanging out at the hell house and the langolier/broken glass/zombie house, and although we came from this punk subculture, our own musical tendencies are not what you would consider sterotypical or generic punk rock.
We will play any show, any where, for any price (or free), with any bands. We love being creative and we appreciate musical diversity. We'll play with a rap group, a mariachi band, a country band, a dead kennedys cover band... You name it.
