Chico State Classical Guitar Ensemble Preformance.
Will be held in PAC 134 on the Chico State Campus @ 4pm on Thursday, May 15th.
Everything from Classical Duets to large ensembles.
Spanish an Brazilian theme, featuring music from famous composers such as Enrique Granados and Issac Albeniz.
FREE.
Come Support local music students.

This year the CAMMIES really pulled through and delivered a quality awards ceremony show. Participation at this event doubled from last year and our local bands seemed gracious for the local music support shown by CN&R. The night included videos made by the bands, live performances, special guests, baby animal books, and more. Check out a video montage here!

The Makai
Preston and I went to The Makai show at Monstros last night.
La Fin Du Monde was first, and they're good. It's an interesting sound-scape that builds toward epic crescendos interspersed with drops back to simple, mellow melodic arrangements.
My only discrepancy was that they didn't ever hit the peak crescendo you are led to believe they are going to hit.
At crucial moments they back off from the moment where you think your ears are going to explode in musical epiphany and bliss. Other than that, good stuff.
