Why Electronic Music you Nerd...

I was painting a canvas with my wife the other day and wondering why electronic music has became my medium of choice.

I think that computers to me are the ultimate symbol of modernity and soulessness. They can create a false sense of community, they can count faster than us, and they've completely robbed us of any privacy or anonomity.

What inspires me is the pursuit of emotion and beauty and feeling out of a pile of silicon and electrons. I am given so much hope from the human impulse to create art out of virtually everything that haunts our lives.

Composing electronic music for me is like going to a Pick-N-Pull, or a thrift store or dumpster diving.

Finding the beat is a treasure hunt.
