Chicolist.com is a great site. It list the Indie, punk, hardcore, and metal shows and provides links to the bands website and to the venues and states whether the show is 21+ or all ages.
The Crux is the best venue in Chico. Music. Art. Performance. All ages. Always fun, always. Located on Park Ave between 14th and 15th Street.
The 1078 gallery is awesome, they have great shows (music, fashion, theater) and a nice big space and good location. Located on Broadway between West 8th and 9th Street.
Monstros Pizza is another all-age venue that books musical acts and they have yummy pizza. Located on West Sacramento Ave next to Tony's Liquor.
Cafe Coda is a dainty all age venue and restaurant. Located in between where Wall and Flume Street dead end into Humboldt Ave next to the skate park.
The blueroom is a performance theatre. I 've never regretted going to see a play here. Located on West 1st street between Main and Broadway.
The Chico Cabaret is another performance theatre, but located outside downtown on Pilsbury road.
Chico State has something going almost every day it seems.
The Pageant Theatre is the best place to see a movie because it's cheaper than the other places and they allow you to bring your own food. Tickets are only three dollars on Monday night (get there early) and six dollars every other night. Located on the corner of East 6th and Flume Street.
Food is pretty cool, I like to eat it on occasion, but can never think of where to go. Here's a list of restaurants. I'm adding the food inspection reports just to gross you out.
Empire coffee has free wifi and you get to hang out in a train car and pretend you're going on a trip.
Chico Natural Foods is a tiny grocery store on the corner of Main and 8th Street. I do 99% of my shopping here. It's open from 7:30 – 10:00 every day. You can become a working member and save a chunk of change.
