HOUSES and CLOUDS
DECEMBER 2006 - JUNE 2007
“Houses and Clouds” is a social commentary about personal contradictions. In these etchings and paintings I convey a worldview that we are the victim and culprit.
The houses and factories are individuals. The clouds are analogous to desires and waste.
Where our contradictions lie: the waste we create also sustains us. The utility of specialized commercial products gives us personality through association. These products inform our desires through gratification while increasing waste. This waste propagates and sustains more houses.
Do you see these symbols as clouds or waste?
These houses and factories are limited of personality dictating the prevalence of our absurdity of our contradictions. The deeper meaning of this series is to evolve myself a sense of personal responsibility between “them” and us.
