Remember Me?
Memoryroll.com reminds me of this. Memoryroll is a BFA project from Chico State student Megan Bielich. Her show will be up this week, April 27th -May 1st, in the B-SO Space in Ayres at Chico State. She is "interested in memories and how they tie us together". Her exhibition consists of memory triggers and a memory recording station. Anyone can upload a picture, story, or create a drawing of a memory and submit it to the site. If someone else's memory triggers a memory of your own, you can add your memory to theirs, which Megan calls a "roll". Here is a little diagram snapshot from her site:
The site itself is very well done and easy to navigate. I wonder what we might learn from studying our collective memory? Only one way to find out, so participate! Artist reception Thursday April 30th, 5-7pm.

"As the unity of the modern world becomes increasingly a technological rather than a social affair, the techniques of the arts provide the most valuable means of insight into the real direction of our own collective purposes."
