A little slice of Mr. Pat Hull
So, the big CD Release show....SOON.
I've got the typical pre-show jitters.
Mostly, though, I'm incredibly proud to be involved with Pat's music, which was an instant desire since he first took the stage at a CRUX Real-Open Mic session.
I've worked with a lot of people across my various lives...in comic books, as a writer, at the CRUX, through graphic design...and every one of those experiences is unique. Working with Pat rates right near the top of my list. His sincererity and drive is a gift to the rest of us.
This CD is, for all of us directly involved, and I'm hoping for anyone who hears it, more than a manufactured "thing" like the million other manufactured things cluttering our every space. It is the culmination of several lives collaborating at just the right point along each of their individual paths. No doubt those paths will lead off into separate directions eventually, but NOW, in this moment, we have converged to offer the best of who we are.
The show is going to be intimate and resounding. I step into it as a pure fan of the musician, and I can't wait to see what he offers tonight, which is always more than expected because that's just the kind of person Pat is.
Hope to see you there.
