Chico Electronic Revolution?

"Oh my God," came out of my lips about 10 times last night at the electronic music CAMMIES showcase.  I was so totally impressed by everybody's compositions.

Weston came hard with a crazy track that was full and lusciously pounding with his trademark perfect production prowess.  For those who saw his set, that 3rd one...you know what I'm talking about.

Ayrian sat quietly and shocked everybody with his secret mean-ass angry pounding dub inspired jams.  One had a harmonica.  His last track made me want to break things - or breakdance.

Holger Honda came like the professional he is.  He took over, killed the lights and masterfully got the crowd dancing in 2 seconds on his table of gear with buttons and lights and a monitor.  Much knowledge of his rig, married with years of moving the party forward yielded a badass improvised dance set.  The people did much sweating.

Anamnesis came to unleash his always interesting material. His last track made me wet myself.  His time-Synced LFO'd Pitch Shifting Grainy synth was the perfect backdrop to some huge gritty street beats.  That shit was MEAN and I almost lost my mind!

I was totally blown away by the quality of these sets!  I couldn't help but think about Sacramento, an area of 1.6 million people and about 6 electronic music producers worth talking about.  5 years living in Sac, and going to virtually all of the electronic shows, and I had never seen anything close to what I saw last night.

I woke up this morning with insane Chico pride, and I was so proud to play with these cats.

COMPILATION CD BOYS!!  Totally salable!

Thank you CRUX for continually being that nuclear little nucleus.
